Seesmic heeft aangekondigd Twitter client Twhirl te hebben overgenomen voor een onbekend bedrag. Twhirl is een applicatie gebaseerd op cross-platform Adobe Air en maakt gebruik van de Twitter API om Twitter berichten te versturen. Momenteel loopt 7% van alle Twitter berichten via Twhirl.
